Sri S N Gopinath is a Post Graduate in Social Work from School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore (1974-76). He has about 15 years of experience in Industry, worked in reputed Organizations like; The Davangere Cotton Mills, Triveni Engineering, San Engineering & Locomotives, Kavika & Deccan Herald Group. 

He has about 25 years of experience in Consultancy in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Training & Development & Discipline Management and is catering to many Public and Private Sectors in Karnataka. He has conducted more than 1000 domestic enquiries. Has done OD initiative of culture building exercises, bringing in attitudinal change amongst the employees, developing high standard of work culture and discipline. 

Contribution to the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM):
He is an active Member of NIPM, Karnataka Chapter since 1981 and was the Chairman of NIPM, Karnataka Chapter during 2001 – 2002 and National Council Member during 2002 – 2004. 

For his outstanding contribution to the field of Industrial Relations, he has been conferred the membership of International Industrial Relations Association, ILO, Geneva, in February 2004.

For his outstanding contribution to NIPM and the field of Industrial Relations, Personnel Management and Human Resource Development, he has been conferred the highest prestigious NIPM Award of “NIPM Fellowship” on 14th February 2011.

For his outstanding contribution to the field of Training & Development, he has been conferred Award of Professional Excellence from Indian Society of Training & Development, Bangalore Chapter on 13th March 2013.
